My Story
My name is Carmen R. Lorenzo Pimentel

I began working in the field of children's rights more than 20 years ago in my native Dominican Republic, working on projects related to their rights and protection mechanisms. I had previously trained and specialized in this field.
In the first organization I worked for, I was responsible for representing it in the "Coalition of Organizations for Children's Rights in the Dominican Republic," which is why I participated in national and international forums. I taught workshops on the Convention on the Rights of the Child , worked on the project "The Voice of Children in the Dominican Constitution," and on several other projects, one of which was a field study on " Children Without Parental Care in the Dominican Republic," which had a profound impact on me.
My last job in my country was on a project supporting children lagging in reading and writing in eight provinces across the country, and my role was to involve families and the community in supporting these students' academic recovery.
At the end of December 2018, I came to live in the United States. Shortly after, the pandemic hit, and the country was returning to normal, I decided to train here to begin my journey as a childcare provider in Boston. Thus, Queriditos Child Care will open its doors in 2023.
